The Shared Chat bot is used for streamers who are interested in combining their chat, either in a stream overlay or in an OBS dock. If you ever need to access this page in the future, you can get a link with the command
!sharedchat help
in your publisher view.
In order to have someone's chat shared with yours in your overlay or dock, they must have this bot installed as well. Once you install the bot, you will be immediately rerouted to the config page, which you can access at any time with the command
!sharedchat config
This is also where you will get the URLs to use as browser sources for the overlay, or the OBS dock. You can also customize the font, size, and colors for the overlay.
There are fields for streamers with whom you are comfortable sharing your chat, and there is a separate list of streamers. To see a costreamer's chat, they must have given you permission, AND they must be in your costreamers list.
You can add a costreamer at any time with the command !sharedchat add username. For instance
!sharedchat add smolfoxmax
And you can remove all costreamers with
!sharedchat end
If someone adds permissions for you, and their chat is not being shared, you may need to refresh with
!sharedchat refresh
If you update your chat colors/font/etc and your overlay is not reflecting that, you may need need to refresh the cache in your OBS overlay. A fix for this is on my todo list, and should be out within a couple of weeks at the latest.
!sharedchat refresh
None of these commands will effect your permissions.
