Quotes

This bot allows a streamer and/or their chat to record memorable moments in streams to be retrieved later.

You can use the command

!quote

to pull up a random quote from the channel you are in. All users have access to this feature in a channel.

Additionally you can pull up a quote by its number or by the username of the person who said it by adding the number or username (with the @ symbol) to the end of the command. For instance:

!quote 16

or

!quote @tuxedomasc95

To add a quote to the collection for your channel, use the same !quote command but add the quote itself afterwards in double quotation marks. If you would like to attribute the quote to a user, also add that user's name at the end (with the @ symbol). For isntance:

!quote "This funny thing someone said"

or

!quote "It doesn't matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop" @alastar17

These commands will only work for select users. THe streamer has the ability to decide whether all users, only streamers and mods, or only the streamer has the ability to add quotes.

Finally, the streamer can edit these permissions and can remove or edit quotes if needed with

!quote config
